Kelly Nichols joined the firm in November 2019 and now serves as a legal assistant. She was raised in Kentucky before moving to South Carolina to attend college. Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University in 2016. She concentrated her studies on sharks and was a member of the National Honors Fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi. After graduating, she moved to Mobile, Alabama, to intern at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and then moved to Astoria, Oregon, after accepting a position as an at-sea fisheries observer.
After living in Oregon, Kelly missed the sunshine and warm weather, so in the summer of 2019 she relocated to Sarasota to be closer to friends and family. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at Mote Marine Laboratory, eating too much sushi or tacos with her friends, watching stand-up comedy specials, and being an expert in Disney trivia.
